  • Address: 20 Anthony Enahoro St, Mabushi, Abuja

Address: Well, let us start off with the name. There is just a way a name doesn’t come off with that great appeal. This is one of such but do not judge a book by the cover. Locating this spot was totally google’s handywork. It is a lovely spot when you get in. The place is built in like a residential area so driving in feels like you came to visit a friend or something. I feel the parking space is somewhat inadequate and a staff should also be stationed right at the front door to help with directions into the restaurant because like I stated, it looks like someone’s house. One could be left wondering which way to go.

Getting inside though, it is lovely! There’s a pool, good music, dim light but not the kind that gets you to bump into something or someone. Furniture is neat and cosy too.

Experience: Oh, the manager came to say hi. Our order was immediately taken but guys, the food took so long! We waited, took pictures and returned to wait. I had to advice the manager that subsequently, little cakes or appetizers be served while visitors awaited their meals.

When the meal came, no way! Was beyond worth the wait! Everything tasted so good! The pepper soups were well seasoned, the meat just rightly cooked. I needed mine extra spicy and they understood the word. The portions were generous. We eventually had to pack the left overs. Even had to order an extra bowl of cow leg pepper soup for later. The service was good. As often as we requested for ice cubes, they kept them coming.

I particularly love where my friends and I sat. Open space so ventilation was no problem and picture perfect too.

Service: The waiter that took our order was polite and patient. We had lot of questions to ask about the menu and he answered politely. For questions he was not sure about, he was honest. Did I say we were connected to free wifi?! Oh yes, it was slow but that’s not the point. Free wifi was available is all that matters. The manager came checking at intervals to be certain we were comfortable. He requested for reviews on the meals and general service. He was honest to explain areas where they were currently improving on and I found such, an act of integrity.

Taste: Need I say more? SO SO GOOD!!!

Price: We spent within 20-28 thousand naira for 3 persons who had soups and main courses with plenty water. I’d say that is a good charge.

Caution:  Believe it when google map says you have arrived. Drive or walk in and straight into the front door. Doesn’t look like it but it is all I’ve said.

Note: Try the pepper soups. So good! There is a larger portion for rice and sauces/soups than rice and beans.
